Jon Lord, one of the greatest organ players ever, has sadly passed away. None of us had the honor to know him personally but musically we knew him very well. His sound and music have made a huge impact on us over the years and we will continue to enjoy his great music.

This night is a celebration of the double live album that was released on CD as well as vinyl just in the end of 2011. It went #37 on the Swedish album charts and received great reviews from all around the globe. First edition is already sold out, but the second edition will be available at the party!

On november 16th, the double live album, "Root Jam", will be released. This album features all the elements of the band, from the debut up to recent days. Root Jam is the album that covers the whole colourful spectra of Siena Root, and it's all straight from the stage. No overdubs or studio takes what so ever. The double CD will be released on Transubstans Records and the double vinyl on Clear Spot´s Headspin Records.

Recorded in 2007, now more than three years later the band releases this unique concert performance together with the dance company as-Sayf on DVD. Siena Root performs songs from their early releases at the ROJ theatre in Stockholm together with Sanya on lead vocals. Siena Root announces that the co-work with Sartez has come to an end
The reason for this is that we could not agree on our musical direction, and how to continue with a collaboration. We thank him for the time he spent with us and wish him good luck in the future.
Siena Root will continue as a trio with different guest artists. Stay tuned for more news!

On the 4:th of December 18:00 & 22:00, Kanal 21 in Bielefeld will broadcast the show that was recorded earlier this month. The show will go on repeat every day after that. Check out the program here. Some pictures taken by Susanne Kucholke can already be seen in our updated gallery!

THE VINYL EDITION OF FAR FROM THE SUN IS READY!
Today we just picked up the first copies of the long-awaited vinyl edition. It´s a great looking and sounding 180 g vinyl packed in a 350g gatefold cover. This vinyl was cut straight from the master tapes, in order to create a 100% analogue, sonically superior album! Something you don´t see too often as most people use a CD master nowadays...
The album is being released through Clearspot´s own label Headspin Records.

Today Siena Root enters Real Music Studio to record the third full lenght album.
One more show is confirmed for the upcoming tour!
Siena Root will perform at Truckstop Alaska in Gothenburg this friday. This will actually be Siena Roots first show in Gothenburg and the last show for 2007. Right after this, Siena Root will enter Real Music Studio to start sessions for the third full lenght album that will see the light of day in March 2008. The release will be followed by a european tour so stay tuned for more info and tourdates.

Siena Root is right now working on the third full length album. Just like "A New Day Dawning" and "Mountain songs", it will be recorded at Real Music Studio. The sessions will start in december and the album will be released early next year through Swedish label Transubstans Records! As Sanya is no longer a part of the band, vocals will be handled by good old friend Sartez, known from Swedish rockers "Mouth of Clay" etc. Sartez was also part of an early incarnation of Siena Root back in the late 90´s.
The first shows for our european tour in March are already booked. More will come!

This Thursday the european tour will start with a gig on Studenterhuset in Copenhagen! It will continue through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Siena Root will play accoustic at radio Rocket 95.3FM, Thursday 24th at 16:30. Radio Rocket is also available for foreign listeners on the internet.
On Saturday the same week, Siena Root will do a free open air concert at Långholmen, next to Västerbron in Stockholm. See you there!

The dvd from the Burg-Herzberg Festival of this summer is now released. This is a very cool and "woodstockish" documentary about the now legendary Burg-Herzberg Festival 2005. This Saturday Siena Root will start to record the second full-length album!
The album will be released through Nasoni Records around new year.
